CONSULTING

As electrical consultants, we work with design firms, other electrical companies and private businesses.  We oversee electrical projects from design to implementation and advise clients on proper solutions.  We serve as your electrical expert, representing your project and coordinating with contractors and other design firms. We ensure your project is completed successfully, on time and to the highest standards.

 On-site Engineering and Project Management

Often time electricians are left to interpret construction drawings on their own and this can lead to deviations from the plans and incorrect installations. FIELDTEK ELECTRIC provides services like project oversight, testing of electrical installations and organizing updated field drawings.

Drawings and Reviews

Having up-to-date electrical drawings are needed for maintenance, additions and emergencies. Many existing sites do not have a set of current drawings. FIELDTEK ELECTRIC offers site visits to map out your electrical system and provide you with a usable electrical reference drawing set.

We also provide 3rd party review of electrical drawings, reports and project submittals so you can be sure you are getting the best electrical deliverables.

Electrical Safety

Calculating cable and equipment size is only part of the safety involved with electricity. Electricians, operators and supervisors need to be aware of the shock hazards around their sites. Properly labeling and locking out equipment is part of our project management process. OSHA and NFPA code guidelines are strictly followed to ensure electrical safety. Personnel training is another service we provide to educate your employees on how to use their equipment efficiently and safely.

The National Electric Code (NEC) contains chapters for special occupancies, special equipment and special conditions. FIELDTEK ELECTRIC’s experience with these chapters is what sets us apart from other electrical companies that may only be familiar with commercial or residential installations.

special occupancies

Special occupancies are locations where the facility creates specific conditions that require additional measures to ensure the “practical safeguarding of people and property”.  These sites include hazardous locations, marinas, hospitals, assembly halls and more.  Our experience with these unique sites and their code requirements makes us your ideal electrical company.

special equipment

Special equipment such as electric vehicle chargers, elevators and solar panels require special attention to code and manufacturer requirements. Throughout our experience we have designed and consulted on many of these unique industrial equipment.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Special Conditions covers facilities that need to maintain power to ensure safety of life such as hospitals and providing light in buildings to help people evacuate. They also include mission critical buildings like police stations and fire stations, which need continuous power to be able to support the public. Other businesses also need continuous power such as grocery stores, to keep their refrigeration systems running and data centers to keep their internet servers online.
